I typically arrive approximately 1 hour before the due start time to allow ample time to set up the equipment and sound check before the guests arrive. I do not charge for the setup or packup time, just for the duration of the reception.

Up to 1 hour travel time is included from Greensborough. An additional fee may be charged for distances over 1 hour travel to cover my time and expenses such as fuel and tollways. A surcharge may also apply to bookings on public holidays such as Australia Day, Easter Saturday, Christmas Eve, New Years Eve etc, and also for inner Melbourne City venues due to parking restrictions and costs, and/or additional time required to get into some venues that sometimes include lifts, stairs and other difficulties to access.

Therefore a 5 or 6 hour function is actually a minimum of 9 to 10 hours work if you consider the travel to and from the venue and setting up/packing up times. I also may spend many hours before the event day preparing and ensuring I have all your special requests arranged beforehand so that I’m ready to go on the day without any surprises.

I’m also able to cater for wedding ceremony music with my portable PA system, but would require payment from the start of the ceremony instead of the start of reception as I will have to arrive earlier and stay for the duration of the ceremony through to the start of the reception.

Video projector and screen hire is an additional $200. The video projector can be set up in the venue to show slideshows or presentations via a computer or USB stick. Please advise me if video projector hire is required.

And that’s pretty much it! Everything is included in one reasonable fee for a full night of fun entertainment. For a fun filled evening with a great party atmosphere and music you’ll love to get up and dance to, you don’t have to pay an absolute fortune. My standard DJ package is a FULL service including the hire of all the audio equipment, lighting including lasers and RGB & UV LED disco lights, smoke machine, use of cordless microphones, unlimited music requests from my extensive collection (or you can even provide your own special music on CD or as MP3’s), and I’m even happy to MC for you at NO additional cost.

Unlike some other mobile disco companies that charge extra for this and that, with Radio Active Mobile Disco everything is included (excludes projector and screen hire). Some even have the nerve to charge you more for an experienced DJ! You don’t even get to meet your DJ before the night, it just depends on who they have available.
